The blade
Why the Nakiri / Chukabocho?
A hand-forged, double-bevelled high-carbon steel cleaver that sits between a light nakiri and a heavy Chinese chukabocho: tall enough to keep your knuckles clear, heavy enough for hard produce.
-
18 cm
Straight blade
Meets the board along its whole length: no rocking, no sawing.
-
10 cm
Blade height
Generous knuckle clearance, and it doubles as a bench scraper.
-
435 g
Weight
Enough mass to power through swede and squash.
-
Hand
Forged
Hand-forged and heat-treated high-carbon steel for edge retention.

Good to know
Can it chop bones?
No. The thin, hard edge is built for clean vegetable cuts, not impact. For bones, use a dedicated meat cleaver.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
No. Hand wash and dry it straight away: high-carbon steel can mark if it’s left wet.

Shipping is free worldwide on every order. Most orders arrive within 7–10 business days; remote areas can take a little longer.
What if it’s not right for me?
You have 180 days to return it, as long as it's complete, undamaged and in its original packaging.
